Is it worth staying at LEGOLAND Hotel with toddlers?
We started The Mastro Family because we wanted to find experiences our kids could actually enjoy — not just places that looked nice in a video.
And LEGOLAND turned out to be exactly one of those experiences.
With Fabrizio and Bruno still little, one of our biggest questions was whether it was really worth staying inside the LEGOLAND Florida Resort, or if we should just visit the park and sleep somewhere else.
After living it as a family, our answer is pretty clear:
if you're going with toddlers and it fits your budget, the hotel is part of the experience.
The experience starts before the park
Something we loved is that for the kids, it never feels like "we arrived at a hotel."
The moment they walk in, LEGO is everywhere.
There are play spaces, details made specifically for them, and the kind of atmosphere where as parents you immediately know you won't spend the whole stay saying:
"don't touch that."
Here they're basically invited to explore.
And when you have a 2 and a 4 year old, that changes the whole experience.
What we enjoyed most
For us, there was something even more important than the rooms or the amenities:
watching the kids' excitement.
Those small moments are what end up becoming the memory of the trip.
Waking up knowing LEGO is literally a few steps away.
Having breakfast together before the day starts.
Watching them get excited about what's coming.
And finally walking to the park.
That's when we understood something we repeat a lot at The Mastro Family:
the place matters, but how your family experiences it matters even more.
Would we do it again?
Yes.
Especially while our kids are still this age.
Because there are experiences they'll probably live completely differently in just a few years.
And that's exactly why we want to make the most of them now.
Our advice
If you're planning LEGOLAND with toddlers, don't try to do absolutely everything in one day.
We prefer to split up the experience, enjoy it calmly, and leave room for the kids to set the pace too.
Because traveling with kids doesn't always mean doing more.
A lot of the time, it means enjoying it better.
